About the RoleWe’re hiring a Retention Manager to own our email, SMS, and loyalty programs. This role blends lifecycle marketing, VIP engagement, membership growth, and customer advocacy . You’ll design automated journeys that keep customers coming back, build programs that turn VIPs into brand promoters, and create a retention engine that maximizes lifetime value. If you’ve scaled retention channels before and love combining data with creativity to surprise and delight customers, this is your chance to shape our retention strategy end-to-end.
What You’ll Do- Email, SMS & Automated Journeys - Build and optimize advanced flows (welcome, onboarding, replenishment, winback, VIP, membership) that drive engagement and repeat purchases.
- VIP Customer Management - Identify and nurture top buyers with personalized outreach, turning them into affiliates, brand advocates, and case study partners.
- Membership & Loyalty Growth - Grow adoption of our membership plan, reduce churn, and create exclusive perks that keep customers engaged long-term.
- Customer Advocacy & Community - Launch referral, loyalty, and UGC programs that turn satisfied customers into active promoters of the brand.
- Customer Insights & Feedback - Run surveys, segment customers, and deliver retention reports with insights to inform growth, product, and CX strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Affiliate, PR, Marketplace, and CX teams to align retention efforts and maximize customer impact.
- Proven track record of scaling email/SMS programs for eCommerce.
- Experience in customer retention, VIP management, or loyalty programs .
- Excellent communicator: strong writing + comfortable engaging directly with customers.
- Data-driven — knows how to track, analyze, and present retention metrics.
- Creative mindset: designs flows, perks, and campaigns that surprise and delight.
- Experience with high-ticket products (tech/electronics) is a plus.

Please keep in mind:
- This is a full-time role (no part-time or freelancing with other clients).
- You’ll join as an independent contractor , responsible for your own taxes/compliance.
- You must provide your own reliable equipment (laptop/desktop, high-speed internet, camera/mic).
- Core collaboration hours are 6:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. PST , with a 2-hour flexibility window.
- The first month includes a training/trial period with scaled pay.
- Payments are made weekly via PayPal or bi-weekly via Wise .
