Tax Compliance and Reporting Ensure accurate and timely preparation, review, and submission of all tax returns (e.g., VAT, withholding tax, income tax, fringe benefits tax) Monitor compliance with BIR, LGU, and other government tax regulations Maintain updated knowledge of current tax laws and rulings 2. Tax Planning and Advisory Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency Advise management on potential tax implications of business decisions Support management in assessing the tax impact of new projects, contracts, or expansions 3. Audit and Documentation Prepare necessary documents and schedules for BIR audits and assessments Represent the company in tax audits, hearings, and meetings with tax authorities Maintain proper tax records and ensure accurate documentation for audit trails 4. Coordination and Review Coordinate with internal departments, external auditors, and consultants on tax matters Review tax computations, journal entries, and reconciliations prepared by accounting staff Train and guide accounting personnel on tax compliance procedures and updates 5. Reporting and Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance reports Analyze tax risks and provide recommendations for corrective actions Ensure timely submission of tax reports to management and regulatory bodies Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field CPA preferred Minimum of 5 years experience in tax compliance, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and government compliance requirements Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications #J-18808-Ljbffr
