RoleAman is looking for an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead procurement and supply chain operations for Aman at Sea. Based remotely in the Philippines, this role ensures an efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality supply chain that reflects Aman’s uncompromising luxury standards. You will oversee purchasing activities, supplier relationships, logistics scheduling, and compliance, while mentoring the team and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage all purchasing operations, from supplier selection to contract negotiation.
- Partner with Hotel Operations and Finance to deliver cost-effective, high-quality procurement strategies.
- Oversee procurement for new builds, acquisitions, and operational projects.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and public health standards.
- Manage supplier relationships, develop new partnerships, and drive competitive bidding processes.
- Oversee inventory management, shipping schedules, and storeroom operations.
- Approve invoices and resolve supplier, warehouse, and AP discrepancies.
- Serve as administrator of the Material Management System and ensure data accuracy.
- Train and supervise purchasing team members to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Drive financial accountability, cost control, and waste reduction across operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of purchasing and logistics experience in a luxury cruise or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
- Proven ability to source food, beverage, consumables, durables, and technical supplies.
- Experienced in managing teams and leading complex procurement cycles.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems (MMS, AMOS, SAP, MXP, Crunch Time).
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Strong awareness of quality control standards with flexibility to support non-standard hours.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business needs.
