Job Summary The Automotive Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, driving vehicle sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies and operational excellence. This role involves mentoring the sales team, managing dealership operations, analyzing market trends, and delivering strong sales results in line with business goals. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership Lead and mentor the automotive sales team by providing hands-on guidance, training, and motivation to consistently meet and exceed sales targets. Sales Strategy Develop, implement, and manage sales strategies to drive unit sales, strengthen customer retention, and improve the overall customer experience. Team Development Train and manage a high-performing sales team; ensure sales consistency and adherence to company standards. Customer Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and fostering brand loyalty and repeat business. Performance Management Monitor team KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and execute action plans to drive continuous improvement and goal attainment. Inventory Management Collaborate with inventory and purchasing teams to ensure optimal stock availability aligned with customer demand and market trends. Market Analysis Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify sales opportunities and respond proactively to market shifts. Dealership Sales Operations Oversee day-to-day sales activities, including vehicle pricing, in-house promotions, customer financing offers, and showroom management. Collaboration Work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and service departments to ensure a smooth end-to-end customer experience. Reporting Generate accurate sales reports, forecasts, and performance insights for senior management, offering strategic recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets. Deep understanding of automotive market trends, dealership operations, and consumer buying behavior. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
