This is an entry-level role with an emphasis on learning and growing in storage, networking, and server administration. Responsibilities Contribute to storage, networking, and server administration tasks under supervision, with a focus on learning and applying new technologies. Assist with basic storage concepts, data protection, and storage infrastructure improvements. Troubleshoot technical issues using a logical, methodical approach. Collaborate with team and other departments to resolve problems and improve systems. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is the standard. Fundamental understanding of storage concepts is crucial, including familiarity with storage technologies. Familiarity with SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) and their use cases. Protocols: Basic knowledge of NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel. RAID: Understanding of different RAID levels and how they provide data protection. Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic understanding of switches and routing. Familiarity with virtualization technologies. Basic knowledge of server operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux. Practical And Technical Skills Willingness to learn: This is an entry-level role; candidates are not expected to be experts, but should be eager to learn new technologies. Troubleshooting abilities: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues methodically. Soft Skills Communication: Ability to clearly and concisely explain technical concepts. Problem-Solving: Critical thinking and effective problem-solving are essential. Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate and learn from more experienced engineers. Proactive Attitude: Demonstrate initiative, curiosity, and readiness to take on new challenges.
