What are our wishes?

• University degree in computer science / IT or related field
• At least 10 years’ experience in developing and successfully deploying map enabled / WebGIS client applications
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Reporting and Coordination

• For the provision of staff augmentation services, the Agency Personnel will take instructions from the Manager at the Information Technology Department and work closely with the project team, internal and external stakeholders.

· The Agency Personnel will provide any other services as required by the team and ITD supervisor or user unit.

How can you contribute to the team?

• The GIS Application Programmer will support the GIS Operations Team and other departments in scoping, designing, programming and deploying Web-GIS applications for client\'s staff and DMCs that build on and integrate seamlessly with client\'s Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) / Enterprise GIS.

Scope of Work / Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Senior GIS Specialist, liaise with the departments and staff, to identify their needs for customized Web-GIS applications
• Familiarize with the client\'s Spatial Data Infrastructure, both in ITD as well as map enabled business apps like CDIH, CCDRMS, MATALAS, etc.
• In collaboration with the GIS Server Manager and Administrator, identify the technical and security requirements for developing Web-GIS applications or plugins
• Support consultant teams hired by individual projects to develop the client\'s standards and security-conform applications that integrate seamlessly with the SDI / Enterprise GIS
• Ensure proper hand-over / migration of Web-GIS Apps developed by consultant teams, and maintain the Apps on a regular basis once launched, in close coordination with the client\'s App owners
• Program new Web-GIS applications as per client and DMC user demand, including user review, development of wireframes, work and budget planning for development and maintenance phases, perform UI/UX and security testing, etc.
• Deploy applications and perform regular maintenance (bug fixing, backup, software/code updates/upgrades)
• Any other task ITD GIS considers necessary.

Deliverables and Dates

• Scoping Report: Document detailing the staff and DMC needs in Web-GIS applications to support project / investment planning, implementation and monitoring
• Web-GIS Applications: as discussed with GIS Operation Teams manager and consultants, and other teams developing map-enabled apps.

Manila-based resource
Reporting to client HQ (Onsite work) in Ortigas at least 3x a week
If the user unit requires contractors to report to HQ for more than 3 times, compliance is mandatory.
Schedule: 8AM -5PM (Manila time)
