Senior Technical Consultant

Exciting Opportunity Alert ITRON is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant with experience in large-scale network and system deployment to join an innovative system deployment services team within Itron’s broader service and delivery organization. In this role, you will engage with customers to design, document, and deliver Itron’s world-class Gen5 network solution, implemented within the customer’s own data centers. You will collaborate and coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure these engagements are successfully initiated and completed.

Applicants must be locally based or legally authorized to work in the Philippines.

Location: Manila, Philippines (on-site, with travel across the Asia Pacific region as required).

Position Type: Contract

What's Required
  • 8+ years of product development including solution delivery, preferably for deployment of a telecommunications network (wireless or wired) and/or large enterprise or internet/application service provider data center.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows servers including OS and network configuration.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience with Oracle Database; experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of gas, water and electric utility meter reading and related distribution automation technologies is desirable.
  • Hands on experience with Cisco IOS/IOX with solid understanding of networking and TCP/IP; experience with IPv6 a plus.
  • Technical training and knowledge of radio frequency equipment used in planning and installing radio network equipment and multiple wired/wireless wide area networks is also desirable.
  • Experience with GIS, CIS and other utility systems are highly desirable.
