LOGISTICS/PURCHASING OFFICER

Job description Overseeing the efficient and cost-effective movement, storage and distribution of goods and materials within an organization or supply chain, you will carry out all tasks allocated by Operations Manager, which may include conducting research on potential vendors and suppliers, inspecting goods and updating records. To be successful as a Logistics/Purchasing Officer you should be able to multitask and evaluate products and vendors. JOB DESCRIPTION Check emails every hour for receiving the request, update and final documentation. Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors. Process documentation for delivery. Sourcing materials, goods , products and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts deals. Make daily itinerary/delivery schedule. Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments and receive stock. Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled. Establishing professional relationships with customers as well as vendors and suppliers. Prepare necessary daily, weekly and monthly reports. Other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time. JOB Requirements Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics , or a related field may be required. Previous experience in a similar position. Strong communication skills especially with customer. Superb written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment. Ability to interact productively with supervisors, peers and subordinate.
