Overview

The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Project Officer to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is crucial for managing and supervising a team of engineers and third-party contractors to oversee building grounds and maintenance, minor renovation and construction works for the building and other infrastructure. Develop and implement project management and quality control strategies to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations, standards, and guidelines.

What’s The Role All About?

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Handle and manage small to large scale projects of the hospital that supports both project team and operations team.
  • Analyze and evaluate the feasibility and relevance of proposed complex products and services and develop and amend, as necessary, with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Responsible for supervising activities performed by a product development or specialist team.
  • Analyze the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials, processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • An effective Project Officer must possess the following skills:
  • Engineering Solutions Design: design engineering solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design brief that conforms to organizational and/or regulatory stands
  • Engineering Standards Specification : Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards within own engineering discipline to inform engineering work in the organization and/or its supplier, contractors and consultants.
  • Budgeting: Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of organization.
  • Multiagency work: Partner and build collaborative working relationships with other professional teams and over organizational boundaries to ensure service users experience cohesive and seamless support to meet their needs.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Manage technical troubleshooting projects and ensuring effective diagnosis of technical issues with equipment and experiments and the development of effective solutions.
  • Architectural Design : Produce multiple architectural concepts and prototypes to design a building or construction. Design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of architectural solutions.
  • Engineering Drawings: Create complex engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.

Ideally, a candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level of Architecture or Civil Engineering with License or Registered Architecture and Civil Engineering with general supervision of more junior colleagues.
