Overview

The Head of Finance & Treasury is a senior leadership role with dual responsibility for (1) managing all treasury operations—including cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships—and (2) ensuring all cash-related transactions and funding activities are accurately and timely reflected in the financial books. This role is critical in safeguarding the company’s financial health and integrity, ensuring both optimal cash management and sound financial reporting.

Responsibilities Treasury Operations

  • Oversee cash flow, bank accounts, and treasury controls

  • Ensure liquidity for daily operations and long-term planning

  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions

  • Monitor financial risks (FX, interest rates, liquidity)

  • Optimize treasury systems, payment processes, and surplus fund utilization

Financial Integrity

  • Accurately record all treasury transactions

  • Collaborate with accounting for cash reconciliation

  • Lead month-end and year-end treasury closing activities

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop funding strategies and capital structure plans

  • Provide financial insights to support business growth and stability

Compliance & Controls

  • Maintain robust internal controls and accurate financial reporting

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies

  • Drive continuous improvement in treasury processes

Team Leadership

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture

  • Promote knowledge sharing across finance and treasury functions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (from a reputable university)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role

  • Willing to be based in Cebu City

  • Preferably with experience in a Top 5 Auditing/Accounting Firm

  • Background in farm or livestock operations is a plus

  • Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and cash flow management

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and highly analytical

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Progressive mindset, ambitious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong teamwork and a positive work attitude
