Overview

Production Supervisor - Drying, Milling, Blending and Packaging. The role oversees the operations of drying, milling, blending and packaging to ensure production efficiency, safety, quality and adherence to HACCP protocols. The position has a strong quality focus and will suit someone with solid food quality assurance experience. The supervisor will manage a team of team leaders and operators, maintain equipment and ensure production targets are met.

Please note that this role will require the successful candidate to relocate to the remote tropical island of Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu.

Responsibilities
  • Process Management: Oversee daily operations of drying, milling, blending and packaging to ensure consistency in production
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in drying, milling, blending and packaging to enhance efficiency and product quality
  • Quality Control: Work closely with the QA team to maintain product quality, hygiene and traceability. Identify potential shortcomings and report for risk assessment and CAPA
  • Team Management: Supervise, mentor and train the team of team leaders and operators on safe and effective operating procedures
  • Health, Safety and Compliance: Implement safety protocols and ensure all team members use protective equipment during operations
  • Reporting: Provide daily reports to the Production Manager including updates on production progress, downtime and quality issues
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years experience in food production or processing with a focus on drying, milling, blending and packaging
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and processes, particularly HACCP, SQF
  • Knowledge of production machinery and equipment maintenance
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
