REQ12922 Technician, IT Resort AV (Open)
Position Summary
The Technician, IT-Resort AV shall be accountable for support and assist in the configuration, testing, monitoring, operating and maintenance of 24/7 AV systems including Background Music, Public Area Digital Signage, Video Conferencing and AV system for property indoor attraction (DreamPlay).
Primary Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily operational task to ensure all Resort AV Systems are in good working condition.
  • Ensures high standard of technical services are kept all times.
  • Performs regular maintenance work according to the Operation & Maintenance manual.
  • Provides technical support and offering guidance to users on using AV/IT equipment.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and ad-hoc maintenance work in case of equipment/system breakdown.
  • Participates on AV planning and implementation of company-wide Resort AV systems; evaluates AV plans as they pertain to in-house technological needs.
  • Ability to work individually and within a team.
  • Ensures the tidiness and cleanliness of the working bench, workshop and storage areas so that a safe and decent workplace is maintained.
  • Performs other reasonable duties assigned by his superior from time to time.
  • Ensures the Health and Safety measures are always met.
Qualifications
I. Experience
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience as an AV Support role from a 5-star hotel or Integrated Resort, Casino/Hotel/Entertainment industry in a similar capacity.
  • Working knowledge on AV system operation and maintenance, installation and troubleshooting is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in Programming and configuration of audio digital signal processors (DSP) including Biamp, QSYS, Symetrix and the like.
  • Understanding of Dante audio network technology.
  • Knowledgeable in Programming and configuration of Media Servers including Alcorn McBride, 7th Sense.
  • Understanding of Content Management Systems/Digital Signage.
  • Familiarity with Zoom & Microsoft Teams conferencing.
II. Education
  • Diploma/ Certification in AV/Electronics Engineering/IT or any relevant course would be an advantage.
  • AV discipline and/or relevant AV technology training will be a plus.
III. Skills / Competencies
  • Intermediate English oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency. Ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain AV/IT equipment.
  • Strong background on AV/IT systems including software, hardware and networking.
  • Pro-active/Positive Can-Do attitude.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware configuration and software programming is an advantage.
