We are looking for a results-driven Financial Controller to lead and direct our Group’s finance and accounting operations, and drive the improvement of our organization's financial processes and relevant compliance/control procedures. The Group consists of a holding company in Abu Dhabi Global Market, and four operating subsidiaries within the Philippines, one of which is a licensed bank. This will be a senior position, directly reporting to the CFO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior leadership, finance and accounting, and a proven track record of optimizing financial processes and procedures at a licensed bank or consumer finance group, with multiple related entities. Your Future Tasks Lead, and when required, personally work on a broad spectrum of the company's financial operations, including accounting (from booking entries to generating accurate financial reports), treasury and cash management across group entities, transaction and payroll processing, global banking relationship management, tax, and creation of relevant policies and controls. Management of staff within the finance and accounting function and contribute to their career and skills development. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the Group’s interests. Analyze financial data and provide insights to guide business decisions. Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks effectively. Collaborate with different departments and entities across the Group and contribute finance/accounting inputs regarding corporate actions, new products, new services, and other special projects. Monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions as needed. Manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and other external financial partners. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations. Act as subject matter expert on matters related to accounting and finance to support ongoing and future business initiatives. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. Other relevant responsibilities commensurate with that of a Financial Controller. Successful Candidates Will Have At least 12 years of Finance/Accounting experience. At least 5 years in a senior management position of Financial Controller / VP or Head of Finance / Head of Accounting or its equivalent in a Group overseeing multiple entities. CPA, Degree in Accounting from a reputable University. Strong mastery in IFRS and consolidation accounting on Group entities. Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively in an international environment. Exceptional critical thinking abilities and high intellect that allow the individual to perform within international standards. Ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects from start to completion. Ability to work under high intensity, high-pressure work environments. Willing to embrace and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment (i.e., being hands-on, being creative with a solutions-driven and problem-solving mindset). Would be a plus: 3-5 years of audit experience auditing banks/consumer finance companies strongly preferred. Some experience in a banking group or consumer lending business. Some experience working in a startup environment. Prior exposure to both manual and automated accounting processes. Experience in implementing a computerized accounting system is a plus.
