Engineering Head – is responsible for leading and overseeing the entire engineering or technical department of an organization. The role ensures that all engineering activities, systems, and projects operate efficiently, safely, and in line with company goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Leadership & Management Lead, supervise, and develop the engineering team Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training or disciplinary actions Ensure teamwork and coordination among engineering staff 2. Engineering Operations Oversee daily engineering and maintenance operations Ensure all equipment, facilities, and systems are operating efficiently Develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs Respond to major technical issues and emergencies 3. Planning & Project Management Plan, manage, and supervise engineering projects from design to completion Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers 4. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with government regulations, building codes, and safety standards Implement occupational health and safety policies Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments Ensure proper permits, licenses, and certifications are maintained JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related field) Professional Engineer (PRC License) is an advantage. Master’s Degree in Engineering or Management is an advantage Minimum 3–5 years of engineering experience At least 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role Proven experience in Engineering operations, maintenance, project management and implementation. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to ensure compliance with audits and inspections Industry-specific experience (hotel or hospitality) is an advantage. Strong knowledge of engineering systems, equipment, and infrastructure Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance systems Knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards.
