Overview
The Credit & Collection Supervisor will work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure timely, consistent, and transparent credit and collection management decisions. The Supervisor will ensure the local Credit Control team adheres to the Global Credit Policy and Level of Authority documents, clearly communicate targets and KPIs, and support the team in meeting objectives.
Responsibilities- Work as part of the Credit and Collection Department.
- Report to the Regional Credit & Collection Manager within a matrix organization.
- Collaborate with Sales to guarantee timely, consistent, and transparent credit and collection management decisions.
- Ensure local credit control activities comply with the Global Credit Policy and Level of Authority documents.
- Communicate relevant targets and KPIs to the local credit control team and facilitate meeting them.
- Empower the Global Credit Policy in the region and handle first-level escalations accordingly.
- Ensure business processes operate with appropriate fiscal compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely collection of current and overdue receivables.
- Monitor debtor balances to reduce debtors DSO, past due amounts, and overall aging.
- Review credit limits in compliance with the Global Credit Policy and communicate them to the relevant region.
- Monitor and advise on the local portfolio and A/R reports, providing proactive recommendations to minimize losses.
- Deliver continuous improvement by advising on credit risk-related processes and services.
- Prepare timely and accurate aging reports and calculate bad debt reserve.
- Report to higher management as required.
- Ability to respond to deadlines with determination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working in a complex business environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to handle multiple tasks.
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to work independently.
- Strong presence and credibility is desired.
- Good communicator in English.
- Inquisitive, proactive, and precise.
- Service-oriented with the ability to build relationships across cultural boundaries.
