Group Financial Controller The Group Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all group-level financial operations, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in consolidating group financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving continuous improvement in financial systems and processes across multiple business units or subsidiaries. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with internal policies Oversee group budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management Maintain integrity and transparency in all financial reporting and disclosures Manage the consolidation of results from subsidiaries and international entities Oversee intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations Ensure consistent accounting policies and procedures across the business Support subsidiary finance teams to maintain compliance and control standards Coordinate and manage annual group audit with external auditors Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and reporting standards Develop and implement internal control frameworks and risk management practices Lead continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting tools Implement ERP system enhancements and promote automation in finance operations Ensure data accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of financial infrastructure Manage and mentor the group finance team, promoting collaboration and accountability Provide guidance and support to finance managers across subsidiaries Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous learning The Requirements Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 3 years in a senior controller or group finance role Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, group consolidation, and financial control frameworks Experience working in multi-entity, international, or complex corporate structures Proven experience in leading audits and managing external stakeholders Experience in (industry, e.g., manufacturing, technology, financial services) Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration and due diligence Strategic and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail Excellent leadership and communication skills High integrity and professional ethics Strong organisational and project management abilities Commercial acumen and ability to support business decision‑making The Deal Competitive salaries that reflect the importance of these roles and your experience Salaries are reviewed and discussed annually and can increase significantly according to experience A genuine commitment to recognise your achievements Hard work deserves a break – we offer 20 days annual leave each year plus all public holidays First‑class office environment that is safe, comfortable, stimulating, and fun Medical cover on Day 1 of employment Rice allowance to help you eat well Opportunities to travel at discounted prices Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Travel Arrangements Note Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at G2 Travel by 2x. #J-18808-Ljbffr
