About Our Client

The phrase ‘show your work’ is key to mastering this role here at this fast growing foodservice marketing agency. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you’ll be responsible for supporting other Senior Designers or above in the creation and delivery of innovative and engaging concepts and designs across a broad range of projects and brands.

About The Role

Our Senior Designers are not only experts in design, type and brand systems, but leaders too, and a key part of an effective design studio. You’ll be responsible for producing and overseeing the creation and development of effective print and digital creative design solutions that answer strategic marketing briefs, and responsible for the management and mentoring of less experienced designers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Report into Art Directors or above, regularly sharing your work with them for feedback and guidance.
  • Oversee design projects from start to finish.
  • Support the wider studio with your extensive knowledge of graphic design.
  • Produce original and creative pieces of design that strategically answer briefs.
  • Oversee and review other designers’ work and give guidance and feedback.
  • Ensure a high standard of quality is maintained, and only work that meets this is sent to the client.
  • Delegate design tasks to more junior members of the team.
  • Work closely with account managers and other designers to proactively improve standards and ensure the smooth running of jobs and projects.
  • Use your strong eye for aesthetics and visual details to ensure a quality final product.
About You
  • Able to work effectively within a team but also independently, using your own initiative to deliver high-quality work to brief and on time.
  • Able to take on and apply constructive feedback from both colleagues and clients.
  • Proactive in researching emerging design trends and the latest / most appropriate software, looking to push boundaries and grow independently.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, and an ability to clearly communicate your ideas and present your work.
  • Meet team and client deadlines, even if it means working extended hours.
Key Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and motivation in maintaining and improving design standards throughout the team
  • Strong visual aesthetic eye – with excellent design skills in layout, composition and typography and a solid knowledge in the creation of digital assets including gifs.
  • Excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud applications – InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop as a minimum.
  • Able to cost jobs, ensuring all stages are considered and adequate time is allowed.
  • Able to find quick solutions to problems related to design, software, and concepts.
  • A commercial awareness and understanding of the value of jobs / demands.
