About the Program and the Role

The Corporate Management Trainee shall eventually oversee the whole business unit, ensuring its success, which includes the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations, its financial health and profitability. He leads the business unit and strategizes how to achieve the organizational vision, mission and growth targets. He drives the business units core values, motivates and engages employees towards the business units vision and mission.

The Corporate Management Trainee will be responsible for overseeing the business unit's operations and ensuring its success through effective leadership and strategic planning.

Successful candidates shall be responsible for:

Leadership and Strategic Planning

  • Develops and implements strategic plans to achieve the business unit’s long term vision, medium term objectives and short term goals and targets and drives growth.
  • Provides strong leadership and direction to the teams of the business unit, sets clear goals and objectives.
  • Establishes key performance targets and metrics and manages the performance of the whole business unit.
  • Makes informed high-level decisions that impact the business unit’s success as a whole organization and for each of its departments.
  • Identifies and implements new growth directions and strategies through research and development.

Operations and Management

  • Oversees day-to-day operations, which includes but not limited to sales and marketing, design, production and installation of roll up doors, cash flow and human resource management, to ensure clients’ satisfaction with the business units products and services.
  • Creates and manages the business units budget, ensures financial health through management of cash flow and ensures profitability of the business unit.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and implements changes to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the different departments of the business unit.
  • Identifies and mitigates risk exposure of the business unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for the business unit.
  • Monitors market and industry trends to determine business opportunities and challenges.
  • Ensures alignment of the different departments with the business units goals and objectives, core values and mission.
  • Provides solutions to issues and challenges that arise in the business unit.

Communication and Reporting

  • Represents the business unit to external /third party business partners, organizations, suppliers, and regulatory bodies and other organizations with whom the business unit has established business relationships.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
  • Prepares and presents reports to the employees, upper management, stockholders or owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of 4 year college business-related course. MBA degree is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in the role and functions of all departments in the business unit.
  • Knowledgeable in computer softwares and application, especially on ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other applications and softwares used by the business unit.
  • Preferably with at least 2 years similar work experience or at least 5 years management level experience.
  • With at least 5 years experience in fabricated metal manufacturing or similar industries and in the construction industry.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • With good attention to details and time management.
  • With good critical thinking and problem solving ability.
  • Sense of ownership.
  • Heart for the people.
  • Ability to encourage discipline and compliance.
  • Alignment with the company’s core values.
