Responsibilities
  • Tax Compliance Management: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, DST, etc.) and ensure compliance with PAGCOR regulations and industry-specific requirements.
  • Tax Planning and Optimization: Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies across entities (including online gaming, international operations, and resort operations); analyze tax implications of new business models, expansions, or cross-border transactions.
  • Tax Audit & Dispute Management: Handle BIR audits, PAGCOR reviews, and other government agency assessments; coordinate documentation and manage resolution of issues; ensure transfer pricing documentation is in place (especially for intercompany services across online gaming platforms or IT outsourcing); monitor BEPS compliance if applicable.
  • Regulatory Advisory & Support: Advise business units on the tax impact of key decisions (e.g., licensing changes, promotions, capital expenditures); stay updated on PAGCOR, BIR, SEC, LGU, and international tax developments.
  • Process Improvement & Governance: Streamline tax processes and enhance internal controls; support automation or digitization of tax filings (e.g., eTIS, EFPS, etc.).
Required Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of BIR regulations, PAGCOR tax rules, and LGU taxation.
  • Familiarity with cross-border taxation, transfer pricing, and PEZA/BOI compliance is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Philippine taxation; experience with online gaming or integrated resort industries strongly preferred.
  • Juris Doctor and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
