The Cybersecurity Governance Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance cybersecurity governance and risk management practices, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and communicate cybersecurity policies and procedures. Ensure that all employees understand and adhere to these policies.
• Track compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Identify and address any gaps or weaknesses.
• Perform control assessments and third-party vendor assessments. Implement improvements to reduce risk exposure.
• Develop and maintain metrics to drive informed decision-making. Prepare regular reports on cybersecurity governance activities.
• Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees about cybersecurity best practices.
• Participate in internal and external audits. Ensure that all cybersecurity measures are in place and functioning effectively.
• Work closely with other teams to ensure cybersecurity measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization’s operations.

Mandatory Skills:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Detail-oriented and organized.
• Understanding of cybersecurity technologies and practices. Experience with auditing processes and risk assessments.
• Collaborative and willing to bring others along on the cybersecurity journey.
• Self-Starter: Motivated and able to handle competing priorities.
• Desire to grow technical understanding of cybersecurity and associated risks.
