Overview

The Billing Specialist II at RealPage, Inc. is responsible for supporting the billing operations within the Commercial Order to Cash Operations department. This role involves assisting with the accurate and timely processing of billing tasks, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining billing records. The Billing Specialist will work closely with senior team members to learn and implement best practices in billing processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team. This position is essential for ensuring smooth billing operations and providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Creating and sending accurate subscription invoices to customers based on their billing cycle and usage
  • Maintaining accurate customer subscription data, billing dates, and payment information within the subscription billing system
  • Handling complex billing issues and discrepancies
  • Collaborating with internal and external clients to resolve billing inconsistencies
  • Preparing and sending weekly performance data for the team
  • Providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Maintaining and updating team trackers for engagement and process documentation
  • Ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
  • Handling complex billing cases/inquiries
  • Performing quality audits
  • Performing critical billing imports
  • Managing performance trackers
Qualifications REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience and/or training in back-office billing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong organizational ability: ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated patience and courteous behavior when working with internal and external customers
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Netsuite experience
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as account reconciliations, discounts, settlements, and percentages
