You will gain invaluable experience in GAAP compliance for subscription revenues and play a significant role in strategic financial planning and analysis, post-launch. The main responsibilities of a EXPENSE AND REVENUE ACCOUNTANT include: Develop and implement comprehensive accounting and treasury procedures, systems, and management reporting structures prior to launch. Post-launch, take charge of setting up and overseeing departmental budgets and expense management to ensure cost transparency and accountability. Create insightful management reports for the Head of Sales and Marketing to analyze various financial metrics, including income, transaction volumes, and key subscriber statistics. Ensure accurate recording and deferral of subscription revenues as per GAAP standards, maintaining completeness and precision in financial reports. Conduct monthly meetings with department managers to gather feedback and understand shifts in business plans and forecasts. Design and implement system changes to accommodate internal and external sales commission reporting, and develop corresponding payment processes. To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements: Proven expertise in financial management and accounting, particularly within roles focused on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Strong understanding of GAAP, especially concerning revenue recognition and deferral. Ability to develop and implement financial procedures and systems from scratch. Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all financial data. Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills. It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in: Experience with subscription-based revenue models is highly desirable. Capability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with both finance and non-finance team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
