We’re looking for a Virtual Assistant - Rent Collection Specialist to join our Property Management team In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for monitoring rent payments, communicating with tenants, and keeping everything organized and on track. You’ll play a key part in helping our property managers ensure smooth and timely rent collection for our properties in Los Angeles, California . What You’ll Be Doing Keep track of rent payments across all managed properties. Professionally follow up with tenants about late or missing payments. Record and apply payments using AppFolio (experience here is a big plus). Work closely with property managers to enforce lease terms and handle payment issues. Send rent statements, invoices, and respond to tenant or landlord inquiries. Support around 70 tenants based in LA. Collaborate with the team to make sure everything runs like clockwork. Experience in rent collection or property management . Comfortable using AppFolio or similar software. Basic understanding of accounting principles . Excellent communication and people skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and trustworthy with sensitive information. (Bonus) Familiar with landlord-tenant laws and rent collection rules. 2+ years in property management or real estate . Experience handling multiple properties or tenant accounts.
