Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation of coalesced views of business capabilities and technology capabilities
  • Champion ideas which improve technology value delivery
  • Demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking and innovation for enterprise solutions (focus on customer impact/experience, responsive design, data management & analytics)
  • Participate as appropriate with the opportunity assessment process used to evaluate new business opportunities and new technologies
  • Lead the architecture and enabling technologies strategy for core banking domain
  • Extend knowledge and experience in retail and corporate banking
  • Experience in leading core banking transformation programmes
  • Define solutions for an enterprise with a vision for big bang, strangled modernisation and transformation
  • Understand security and infrastructure patterns
  • Understand APIs and Event patterns and provide directions for implementations
  • Deliver outstanding presentation skills to support strategy socialisation
  • Senior stakeholder management; deliver deep industry insights to the customer based on forward thinking of current industry trends and potential disintermediation by new entrants to the retail industry
  • Establish a trusted relationship with the business and act as a liaison between business and IT
  • Understand how technology, processes, people and data fit together in delivering business outcomes
  • Understand regulatory framework for retail and corporate mapping
  • Excel at problem resolution and people management
  • Meet governance forum requirements
  • Define target architectures, roadmaps and timescales to ensure effective use of technology
  • Lead the full life cycle delivery of technical solutions for business projects from concept through requirements, design, delivery, acceptance and operational support
  • Understand BIAN capability model
  • Identify service domains and create an aligned bank capability model
  • Understand BQs, CRs, service domains and map bank entities accordingly
  • Define BIAN-aligned API contracts
  • Define workflows for business processes describing service domain communication
  • Represent the bank in the BIAN global forum and provide feedback on gaps to contribute back to BIAN
  • Map bank data to the Business Object Model (BOM)
  • Experience in effort estimation, deal costing and architecture for multi-million dollar deals
  • Understand enterprise banking capabilities and mapping of applications to capabilities
  • Experience in setting up and chairing architecture governance forums
  • Lead the architecture stream of a transformation programme and serve as the face of it
  • Proactive problem-solving with ideas to improve for clients
  • BIAN-certified candidate is preferred
  • Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture
