In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal configuration and utilization of Workday Financials (FINS) within our organization. You will partner with finance teams and IT professionals to analyze financial processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective Workday solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

This position forms an integral part of a successful finance transformation team, within an exciting and growing industry, cyber security. You will be a fully qualified accountant with good all-round experience of accounts, exposure to Finance systems and how they operate, combined with knowledge of the controls environment and its importance within day-to-day processes.

  • Support the implementation of change across several Finance systems (Workday, Salesforce, Concur) and provide support to businesses that have transitioned to the new systems landscape.
  • Maintain a lean global chart of accounts structure delivering statutory and management accounts.
  • Define and maintain account dimensions and posting rules to ensure compliance with company policy.
  • Collaborate with local Finance teams and system consultants on VAT and sales taxes.
  • Deliver finance integrations fit for purpose (e.g., banking, digital VAT returns, payroll).
  • Define month and year-end close processes.
  • Work with Finance Transformation, Master Data & Reporting teams to deliver local reporting requirements.
  • Ensure controls-based audit objectives are embedded in Finance processes.
  • Educate local finance teams on Workday security groups and workflows.
  • Map financial history to Workday (GL, AP, AR, and bank).
  • Train finance processes and prepare training materials; train super users; provide early life support post-deployment.
Requirements
  • Financial Acumen: strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Workday Expertise: solid understanding of Workday FINS functionalities and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Analytical Thinking and Problem-Solving: ability to analyze data and implement improvements.
  • Attention to Detail and Accuracy.
  • Collaboration and Communication: effective cross-stakeholder communication.
  • Adaptability and Ownership: fast learner, takes ownership.
  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; proven Workday FINS configuration and implementation experience; advanced Excel; strong problem-solving; good interpersonal skills.
