Junior Cyber Security Analyst – Procter & Gamble Job Description The Security Analyst role belongs to the 'Cyber Defense' job family, focused on protecting networks, applications and infrastructure from cyber threats worldwide. As a Band 1 Security Analyst you will proactively protect our assets, triage security alerts, conduct incident response, and help remediate discovered vulnerabilities. You will collaborate closely with the Penetration Test Team, Cyber Hunt Team, Threat Intel, and other internal functions to enhance the company’s cybersecurity posture. Key Responsibilities Proactively protect networks, applications, and infrastructure from cyber threats. Triage security alerts and conduct incident management activities. Drive detection, analysis and provide guidance on remediation of discovered vulnerabilities. Perform base security analysis and follow‑up actions to contain and remediate cyber threats and recover P&G assets from security‑related events and alarms. Collaborate with the Penetration Test Team, Cyber Hunt Team, Threat Intel, and other internal teams to enhance the company’s cybersecurity posture. Understand and evaluate the threat‑landscape risk and consult on remediation steps. Use tools to analyze and respond to incidents, and proactively enhance the cybersecurity posture. Effectively communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences and influence compliance with policies and best practices. Document incidents thoroughly, including analysis summary, actions taken, and additional steps required to fully close/resolve incidents. Success Criteria Time to triage and time to resolve incidents. Reduction in false‑positive rate of detections. Maintaining industry‑leading security certifications. Reduction in overall threat‑dwell time. Qualifications Technical Skills Knowledge of user behavior analysis to identify malicious patterns. Understanding of malware fundamentals and ability to propose effective countermeasures. Log analysis and correlation for enterprise endpoint security and email security. Experience with network security (IPS/IDS), security protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux). Solid understanding of the security threat landscape, threat models, MITRE ATT&CK/Cyber Kill Chain. Experience with SIEM, SOAR or similar technologies (plus). Skills in log analysis, data mining, and programming/script languages such as Python, PowerShell, Rust, or Go. Preferred certifications: Certified SOC Analyst (CSA), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+). Experience with JIRA, Confluence. Educational Background Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in information security, cybersecurity, software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field. Communication and Language Skills Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences. Teamwork and Collaboration Ability to work independently and learn quickly. Experience collaborating with the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), Penetration Testing Team, and other stakeholders. Strong leadership skills and the ability to articulate security events concisely. Other Curiosity and growth mindset.
