We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven individual to join our Software Test team. You are expected to ensure the quality, predictability, and timely delivery of our software products. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be actively involved throughout all stages of a project, from initiation and planning to execution and test closure. Our team works with cutting-edge computer software systems designed for distributed enterprise environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong testing skills and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Gaining a deep technical understanding of our products, including both software and hardware, and analyze existing systems.
• Reviewing and interpreting project documents (such as concept documents, design documents and use cases).
• Creating test plans and strategies to validate software, covering performance, interoperability, compatibility, security, usability, and automation.
• Being responsible for the setup and configuration of test environments, including hardware and software systems and complex test systems.
• Completing both scripted and exploratory test cases, and plan validation work accordingly.
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
• Leading efforts to improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes, providing insights to enhance product quality and efficiency. Staying updated on the latest trends in AI models, frameworks, and testing tools, applying them to optimize team practices and ensure effective testing strategies.
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, providing guidance on the best testing practices and techniques. Sharing knowledge and best practices with the testing team and the broader organization to elevate overall testing proficiency.

For This Role, You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any related field)
• Minimum 5 years of related experience
• Proficient in networking, virtual machine set-up, solving system issues, and writing technical reports
• Strong verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with technology teams; adept at working remotely in multicultural environments
• Quick learner, able to work independently and efficiently, detail-oriented with a creative approach, strong analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Azure DevOps with advanced expertise in testing methodologies and strategies. Familiar with the SDLC and software testing processes
• Experience working with databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

• Experience in AI tools (like GitHub Copilot)
• Experience in Agile Software Development is a huge plus
• Experience with cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
• Experience in vibration analysis and condition monitoring of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors in oil and gas operations
