We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated testing frameworks ensuring software quality and reliability. You will work hands-on with tools like Selenium, Playwright, and TestNG, while leveraging your programming expertise in Java, Python, and JavaScript. This role involves building automation frameworks from scratch, leading testing efforts, and ensuring seamless integration across APIs and cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test automation frameworks using Selenium with Java/Python/JavaScript.
  • Implement API automation solutions to integrate and validate interconnected systems.
  • Manage and maintain end-to-end sanity test environments during SFT/UAT cycles.
  • Lead and mentor large testing teams within portfolio or program-level initiatives.
  • Perform test planning, execution, and reporting aligned with Agile development practices.
  • Drive defect identification, debugging, and resolution to support production stability.
  • Stay updated on emerging automation tools, frameworks, and performance testing trends.
  • Contribute to CI/CD-driven testing strategies and collaborate with developers to improve quality.
  • Ensure applications/APIs are tested across cloud, containerized, and VM environments.
  • Document test results, risks, and mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with best practices.

Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in automated testing with frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Playwright (non-negotiable).
  • Strong coding ability in Java (non-negotiable), plus working knowledge of Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience building automation frameworks independently.
  • Familiar with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, test planning, and test cycles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot critical production issues under pressure.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in cloud-hosted testing environments and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on exposure to API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and security testing practices.
