Join a UK-based tech-driven company at the forefront of financial data innovation. An exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to support and implement Trading Systems from a Level 2 Support perspective, working with core technologies that lead the electronic trading business. Role Responsibilities Monitors and oversees all trading application functionality and system performance. Provides second level support, troubleshooting incidents and escalated requests. Installs, upgrades and enhances trading applications in accordance with documented baselines. Builds and maintains third‑party tools and applications in staging and production environments. Automates installation, monitoring and data gathering using Shell, Perl, PowerShell and SQL scripts. Documents application setup, runbooks, remedies and troubleshooting steps. Attends meetings and conference calls to discuss production issues and upcoming projects. Manages change lifecycle, submitting change control forms and following up status until completion. Acts as senior analyst, internal escalation of junior team members and handles major projects. Manages ticket queues, delegates to team members and ensures accurate shift handovers. Duties Perl, Shell (csh/ksh) and PowerShell scripting. Troubleshooting. Unix/Windows user skill set. Change Control Process. Precise direction following and giving. ITIL Framework support model for Change, Incident, Request and Problem management. Experience / Competences Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills, with experience deploying software and writing functional procedures. Effective verbal and written communication with stakeholders, peers, subordinates and customers. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Understanding of customer demand and technology innovation to meet client requirements. Ability to work/interface with multiple lines of business and geographies. Proven record of internal customer support and project management skills. Knowledge of financial services and instruments. Windows Server operating systems. Unix/Linux – power‑user level. SQL (T‑SQL, SQL Server Management Services). Networking tools (ssh, sftp, traceroute). Shell scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Perl). Strong grasp of change management and ITIL based support process. Desired Previous Team Lead or Deputy Team Lead capacity. Experience in the financial/banking sector. Automation tools (Ansible, TFS, Jenkins). Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Experience with SQL language and databases. Experience with C, C++, or Java. Service Management tools (JIRA, ServiceNow). ITIL certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
