Overview

Role Overview:

The role supports senior management by gathering, analyzing, and presenting financial data essential to business performance and decision-making. This role contributes to the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and financial analyses to ensure alignment with company goals and long-term growth strategies.

A key responsibility of the supervisor is to assist in the development of business cases and financial evaluations for strategic initiatives—including new product launches, operational improvements, and working capital investments. The role also plays a vital part in improving financial reporting systems and dashboards to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable insights for management.

The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and supports the execution of strategic projects, ensuring proper financial guidance and governance. Additionally, this role assists the Business Unit Controller and Section Manager in identifying and pursuing growth and profit opportunities across the business.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a solid grasp of financial principles and cost accounting, paired with a strong understanding of business functions such as sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and tracking of key performance indicators to monitor business performance.
  • Assist in preparing forecasts and financial plans; identify risks and opportunities for business decision-making.
  • Collect, analyze, and present financial data for internal reporting and management use.
  • Participate in the budgeting and strategic planning processes.
  • Support investment monitoring activities and contribute to ROI analysis.
  • Serve as a financial business partner to cross-functional teams by delivering timely, data-driven insights.
  • Prepare costings and support strategic pricing initiatives for New Product Developments (NPDs).
  • Assist in the creation of financial models and business cases for operational, manufacturing, or innovation projects.
  • Monitor actual spending against budgets, particularly for trade investments and overheads.
  • Supervise junior team members, providing guidance, coaching, and quality checks on outputs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA preferred but not required
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in management accounting, FP&A, or audit
  • Strong background in cost accounting and financial analysis
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP); knowledge of BI tools is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience supervising junior staff is an advantage
