Position summary Providing exemplary technical support, managing tickets and inquiries, and documenting incidents and remedies. The role will respond to questions from employees, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems related to operating systems, hardware, and software while managing the organization\'s IT infrastructure.
Essential responsibilities- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Collaborate with solution architects, DevOps, cybersecurity, and IT leadership to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
- Conduct capacity planning, resource utilization analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
- Evaluate, select, and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency and performance.
- System Administration & End-User Support
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage escalated help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Perform software installations, upgrades, and patches.
- Work with vendors and IT teams to resolve system-related issues.
- Security & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
- Maintain security policies, access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
- Oversee firewalls, endpoint protection, and other security tools.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational standards.
- System Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- Implement monitoring tools to track system health, performance, and availability.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Conduct performance tuning, load balancing, and capacity optimization.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Lead performance testing and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Technology Evaluation & Implementation
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and networking solutions.
- Lead technology projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Test and validate new technologies before deployment.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement and implementation.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Create and update technical guides, user manuals, and knowledge base articles.
- Prepare reports on performance, incidents, and support metrics.
- Contribute to documentation standards and compliance requirements.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT administrators.
- Mentor junior staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate and prioritize team tasks for effective project delivery.
- Promote collaboration and communication across IT and business units.
- Participate in IT strategic planning and decision-making.
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years IT Administrator or related experience with managing complex IT infrastructure.
- 5-7 years Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint)
- Exchange Online, mailbox management; Administer SharePoint Online and OneDrive, including site design and structure, and ensure proper permission configurations align with organizational access and security policies.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- 6-7 years Mimecast email security
- Manage Mimecast instance, including domain integration, policy configuration, and administration of email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC); configure DNS records, including SPF and DKIM.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and networks.
- Experience in system administration tasks, including user management, server administration, and configuration management.
- Familiarity with network administration and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux/Unix, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
- Understanding of IT security principles, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Project management experience and relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA) are a plus.
- Ability to work toward goals, meet deadlines, and contribute positively to the team environment.
- Effective communication in English (verbal and written).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
