Ability to research and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of design or application Responsible to work with internal UCT account managers and operations staff to complete design requirements to customers’ specifications Coordinates with UCT Thermal manufacturing assisting in the fabrication, test, and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications. Participate in design review meetings with internal staff and to follow the NPI process via MS Teams in PST. Must have working knowledge of CAD software – AutoDesk 3D Inventor, and AutoCAD 2D, and SolidWorks. A working understanding to effectively work within the Agile database Knowledge of SAP preferred. Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database software A fundamental understanding of thermal applications and material properties Educational/Certification Requirement :Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or equivalent experience is mandatory. Experience Requirement:Work Experience:5+ years design experience in semiconductor capital equipment, heating or related industry. Experience with thermal management and electrical design preferred. Experience with thermal management and electrical design preferred. Hands on experience with prototyping and testing is highly desirable. Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment. Physical Demands and Working Conditions:Work Environment:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment 2-4 week (design cycles) Physical Demands:Work may require the ability to lift 10-20 pounds infrequently Ability to attend MS Teams meetings and use a computer for extended periods of time will be required. Attend meetings in PST Environmental Exposure:May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from manufacturing process equipment. May have exposure to silicones, fiberglass and epoxies used in the fabrication of thermal products. Overnight Travel:Work could require out of town travel depending upon assignment for (training and meeting). Training to include 2-3 months of extensive US Hayward including but not limited to: Fabrication, designing and testing of Thermal Products.
