Software Testing Lead

Overview

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Software Testing Lead located in Makati City, Philippines through September 26, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PH Time.

The Software Testing Lead is responsible for enhancing the strategy, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of software testing activities to ensure high-quality product delivery. This role involves managing a team of testers, developing test strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and third party to meet enterprise testing goals. Moreover, this role manages the lifecycle and support of the Testing product suite, both the infrastructure and application layers.

• Establish test standards and governance process in alignment with key stakeholders
• Develop and manage comprehensive test strategies and plans
• Define scope, objectives, resources, and timelines for testing activities
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies
• Progress use of AI tools in test automation maturity
• Lead, mentor, and manage QA/test engineers
• Oversees tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery
• Provide training and support to enhance team capabilities
• Consult on design, review, and execute test cases (manual and automated)
• Oversee functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing
• Track and manage defects using Tricentis tools
• Regular engagement and alignment with ERP teams and the Digital Core Program
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback
• Report testing progress, metrics, and quality status to stakeholders
• Evaluate and improve testing processes and tools
• Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices
• Promote test automation and continuous integration practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in software testing, and with at least 2 years in a lead role
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments
• Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)

• Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• ITIL Foundation
• ERP functional/technical
