Manager, Human Resource @ Innodata Inc. | Talent Acquisition, Business Partnering, Candidate Experience Advocate The Accounting Analyst will provide essential support to the Financial Analyst by performing day‑to‑day financial recordkeeping and administrative tasks. This role involves handling the legwork of accounting operations such as maintaining the Chart of Accounts, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting in month‑end closings, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data. Key Responsibilities Maintain financial records, performing account reconciliations, processing transactions for accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial statement preparation and audit‑related tasks. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the organization’s financial systems. Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) entries. Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts. Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and for internal team audits as needed. Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes. Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records for easy retrieval and compliance. Communicate with internal departments and vendors to resolve billing or payment discrepancies. Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting procedures and internal controls. Provide administrative support to the finance team as required. Qualifications Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support role. Technical Skills Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or SAP). Not required but good to have. Strong understanding of general ledger structures and Chart of Accounts management. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Soft Skills High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
