The Accounting Lead/Accounting Supervisor is an individual contributor role and is responsible for delivering accounting activities that ensure compliance with US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), corporate policies, and external audits.

This role encompasses a unique blend of complex accounting tasks and financial analysis, requiring a professional with robust analytical skills and comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a creative and innovative approach towards problem-solving with the ability to work effectively under pressure and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, and close documentation
  • Ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of accounting transactions
  • Ensure that the company's financial policies, procedures and controls are implemented efficiently and in compliance with US GAAP
  • Manage and comply with all the local and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Assist FP&A with trend and account analysis for internal distribution
  • Support SOX / corporateinternal controls compliance efforts, which includesevaluation, development, implementation, execution, and monitoring of controls and systems
  • Assist with audits, including preparing work papers for the auditors and analyzing data, and collaborate with internal team and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
  • Identify inefficiencies and improvement in the performance of financial and accounting processes.
  • Other duties as mutually agreed upon to make this job a career building experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. CPA certification is preferred
  • Minimum of five years experience in corporate accounting . Supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Proven analytical skills along with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Strong problem solving abilities, high attentionto detail, excellent organizational skills and the abilityto work with minimum supervision
  • Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment
  • Strong understanding and proficiency of U.S. GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software and databases
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skillsand the abilityto deal effectively with a variety of personnel both internally and externally
  • Candidates may be asked to work shifts to align with global assignments
