This Procurement Sr. Specialist is responsible for procuring goods and services, supporting the business in maximizing the value of third-party investments, and maintaining this value with minimal organizational risk.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Intake Review and Contract Creation
  • Review intake and ensure compliance with policies
  • Source, evaluate bids/quotations, and select vendors in accordance with policies
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, warranties with suppliers
  • Process and administer purchase orders/contracts within budget
  • Follow up to ensure timely deliveries
Strategic Project Management
  • Gather data, analyze spend and business needs, and make recommendations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for sourcing requirements and specifications
  • Identify qualified vendors in the supply market
  • Conduct RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
  • Present evaluation results and vendor selections
Cost Savings / Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
  • Monitor progress and results of procurement projects
  • Develop project pipelines and forecast requirements
Vendor Management
  • Identify and qualify new vendors for cost-effective sourcing
  • Maintain and update vendor information
  • Ensure vendors meet accreditation requirements
  • Update the preferred vendor list
  • Negotiate payment terms and establish credit lines
  • Measure and manage supplier performance
  • Handle vendor-related incidents and collaborate on resolutions
Training and Communications
  • Communicate purchasing policies and procedures
  • Update on work progress
  • Support procurement tools and best practices rollout
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Support business inquiries and requests
  • Participate in procurement initiatives
  • Negotiate and award contracts
  • Coordinate contract updates with owners

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in insurance, banking, or similar industry
  • Graduate of a 4-year Business or relevant course
  • Good knowledge of products, supply management principles, and related technology
  • Skills: analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, customer focus, strong communication, adaptability
