Senior Project Architect

Reporting to: Director / Associate Director

Great architecture is born from a balance of creativity, technical rigor, and collaboration. As a Senior Project Architect, you will lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring that both design excellence and technical accuracy are delivered. You will guide junior team members, oversee project documentation, and coordinate with clients and consultants to bring design visions to life.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design process across all project stages

Uphold a high standard of design quality and spatial awareness

Maintain design consistency and integrity throughout delivery

Join monthly Managerial meetings to report the progress of their teams

Technical Oversight

Review and ensure accuracy and quality of outputs from junior team members

Oversee documentation and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and submission requirements

Coordinate technical details with consultants, engineers, and contractors

Maintain high design and technical standards from design development onward

Ensure proper filing and tracking of milestone submissions

Project Management

Lead the development and execution of project work plans, schedules, and resource allocations across all phases—from concept design to project closeout

Oversee the day-to-day progress of assigned projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within budget, and aligned with the design intent

Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to maintain clear communication and seamless integration across disciplines

Liaise with the accounting team to ensure timely submission of billings and follow-up on collections in accordance with project milestones

Monitor project performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, commercial terms, and scope of work

Supervise, mentor, and support junior architects

Promote a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented team culture

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong client relationships

Ensure clear communication, timely follow-ups, and client satisfaction

Practice Development

Stay informed on the latest tools, technologies, industry codes, and best practices

Contribute to the advancement of the studio’s design culture through active knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and the development of practice standards

Ensure alignment with company protocols, quality benchmarks, and documentation guidelines

May be called upon to support business development efforts, including representing the studio at industry events, design forums, or public engagements relevant to their field of expertise

Expected to collaborate with the marketing team by contributing project narratives, images, and insights for social media, publications, or promotional materials that highlight the progress and impact of their work

Requirements

Professional degree in Architecture; PRC-licensed Architect preferred

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Familiarity with local building codes and statutory requirements

Knowledge of sustainability and green building certifications is a plus

Strong design sensibility and architectural detailing skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and related software

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively across disciplines
