Overview About the Role We’re seeking a Background Checks Specialist to ensure fast, accurate, and compliant pre-employment verification for all candidates entering Wing’s workforce. This role is key to minimizing hiring risks by validating candidate credentials, employment history, and identity documentation — ensuring that every assistant deployed meets our security, reliability, and compliance standards. Compensation: ₱25,000 - ₱35,000 a month Key Responsibilities Conduct end-to-end background checks for new hires, including identity verification, employment history, education, and reference validation. Manage criminal record checks, credit verification, and watchlist screenings based on role sensitivity and client requirements. Coordinate with Talent Acquisition and HR to ensure timely completion of background checks before onboarding. Maintain accurate, confidential records of all verification reports and ensure adherence to data privacy and compliance policies. Identify and escalate potential risk flags or discrepancies to Compliance leadership for further review. Work with third-party verification partners or internal databases to expedite processing timelines. Monitor turnaround times and continuously improve background check workflows to achieve faster pre-employment clearance. Generate weekly and monthly reports summarizing verification volumes, pass/fail rates, and turnaround metrics. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in background verification, compliance operations, or HR administration. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documentation and validating records. Familiarity with employment verification procedures, risk checks, and privacy regulations. Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to handle multiple verifications simultaneously. High integrity, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information securely. Preferred Skills Experience with background screening tools or vendor platforms. Knowledge of local and international verification standards (e.g., NBI, SSN, education, credit).
