Responsibilities
  • Serves as Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee. Prepare minutes of meetings; report status of recommendations; notify members of meetings; submit reports to the employer on committee facilities and recommendations.
  • Acts in an advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the employer and the workers.
  • Conducts investigations of accidents as a member of the Health and Safety Committee and submits separate reports and analyses to the employer.
  • Coordinates all health and safety training programs for the employees and employer.
  • Conducts health and safety inspections as a member of the committee.
  • Maintains or helps maintain an efficient accident record system and coordinates actions taken by supervisors to eliminate accident causes.
  • Provides assistance to government agencies in the conduct of safety and health inspection, accident investigation, or related programs.
  • Reports directly to the employer for workplaces where a full-time safety officer is required.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master\'s Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam); suitable degree in any field.
  • At least 1 year of working experience as a Safety Officer in a BPO setting or related field is required.
  • Preferably 1-4 years of experience in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
  • Willing to work on shifting/graveyard schedule.
  • MUST be BOSH Certified (40-80 hours of training).
  • Willing to work and be assigned in Tagbilaran, Bohol.
