Overview

Key Responsibilities and required experience for a Finance Manager role with FP&A focus, including leadership of financial operations, treasury, risk and compliance, and strategic advisory.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial reporting, including monthly, statutory, and long-term planning (5-year plans). Present results to the Board and provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership.
  • Treasury & Cash Flow: Manage and forecast daily cash positions, ensuring liquidity. Build and maintain relationships with banks, negotiate terms, and implement treasury management systems.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate financial risks (e.g., foreign exchange) and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. Manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Operations & Leadership: Directly oversee key accounting functions including Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable , Tax , Payroll , and Treasury . Mentor, develop, and manage staff.
  • Strategic Advisory: Advise on market changes, commercial decisions (pricing, tendering), and best practices to increase revenue and reduce costs.
Required skills and Experience
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a senior financial management role.
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, with an MBA or professional qualification like CA or CPA preferred.
  • Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure and present complex data to non-finance audiences. Results-oriented, strategic, and proficient in Excel and financial software.
