Your new job:

ING is looking for an enthusiastic Data Engineer to join the Availability squad of Tribe Lending.

The Tribe Lending has the purpose: "Make complex lending simple". The Tribe is accountable for the end-to-end seamless Lending Client Journey. The solutions we design, develop and maintain are both in-house build and COTS. The technology being used is Linux and Oracle database.

What will you do?

Your day-to-day responsibility includes:

  1. Analyzing requirements and performing technical feasibility study/analysis
  2. Developing integrations using SQL on our RDBMS database
  3. Being a technical advisor for production issues
  4. Assisting/developing the Testing Automation Strategies
  5. Carrying out Unit Test and System Integration Testing
  6. Supporting audits with documentation/proofs/run through the code base

Your key responsibilities are:

  1. Developing high performance solutions with best practices on tools used
  2. Completing full test cycle before implementation
  3. Using CI/CD pipeline to implement the solution
  4. Communicating with the stakeholders to analyze and understand the need and design the solution accordingly
  5. Using advanced SQL query language to support data integration
  6. Supporting other squad members whenever needed with your experience and knowledge

Who are you?

You are an enthusiastic Data Engineer with the following skillset:

Must have

  1. 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering
  2. SQL
  3. Functional and non-functional testing
  4. Definition of the test cases and performing the actual tests
  5. Experience with test automation, preferably with regards to back-end items
  6. Data processing techniques
  7. Data modelling in relational databases
  8. Experience on Oracle RDBMS, tables, views, indexing, tuning and data types

Nice to have

  1. Experience in a complex, corporate environment
  2. Experience in Lending business
  3. Track record in building larger corporate systems
  4. Understanding of an object-oriented programming language
  5. Linux (bash) scripting capabilities
  6. Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c or higher
  7. Agile / Scrum methodologies
  8. CI / CD tooling: Azure DevOps, Git, Ansible
  9. Issue trackers like ServiceNow or Azure Boards
  10. Ability to communicate effectively and present/demo ideas and solutions
  11. Keen on documenting her/his work
