Job Description Develop and implement category strategies to align with business goals in the retail industry. Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for product optimization. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and quality assurance. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock in collaboration with the procurement team. Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize value and cost-effectiveness for the company. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes and improve efficiency. Conduct regular performance reviews of categories to identify areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data-driven analysis. The Successful Applicant A successful Category Manager should have: A strong background in procurement and supply chain management within the retail industry. Proven ability to analyze market trends and consumer behavior effectively. Excellent negotiation skills to secure advantageous supplier agreements. Experience in managing multiple categories and ensuring inventory optimization. A results-oriented mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Strong collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of procurement software and tools to enhance efficiency.
