This role ensures accurate and timely processing of invoices, collections, and reconciliations, while maintaining strong internal controls and supporting the company’s financial health. To assist with the timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting in line with IFRS & Corporation Act, improving finance procedures and implementing effective internal controls, as well as ensuring timely lodgement of tax returns for all types of taxes. Responsibilities Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Management Oversee end-to-end supplier invoice processing from receipt and validation to approval and payment. Manage supplier relationships, respond to payment queries and resolve discrepancies promptly. Manage payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate accounts payable ledgers; review and approve expense reports and credit card reconciliations. Oversee invoicing for B2B customer transactions. Monitor customer accounts (B2C/B2B) for timely payment and follow up on overdue balances. Manage credit control procedures and credit limits. Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accurately recorded. Work with a B2B team to resolve payment disputes or discrepancies. Manage refunds, chargebacks, reconciliation of payment gateways and bank accounts. Maintain cash flow forecasts as required. Allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively within team to ensure optimal productivity, accuracy, and timely completion of financial processes. Lead, train, and mentor AP/AR team. Manage team working on the month end process to ensure timely reporting. Contribute to an efficient, effective, and timely month end process by preparing month-end workbooks and processing journal entries. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Support month-end and other accounting processes automation programs. Assist in preparing BAS, income tax and FBT returns, and other documents required by ATO. Prepare documents requested by Australian Bureau of Statistics. Prepare Payment Times Reporting. Identify and implement internal controls improvements, including automated SAP controls. Identify and implement improvements to month end workpapers and other finance processes. Working on other projects and ad-hoc tasks as required. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience managing and coaching a high performing team of at least 10 people; BIG4 (or 2nd tier accounting firm) background. Strong knowledge of IFRS / AASB. Chartered Accountant (or equivalent certification). Tertiary degree qualifications in Accounting/Commerce or related field. Advanced Excel skills; current commercial will be beneficial. Strong knowledge of SAP B1, or another ERP system, and SQL or BigQuery will be beneficial; high attention to detail. Outstanding organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
