General Ledger Manager Lhoopa Mandaluyong, National Capital Region, Philippines Job Summary The General Ledger Manager will manage a team responsible for the day to day bookkeeping and the monthly closing of Lhoopa Inc, and assist the Financial Controller in overseeing and managing the Company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with the accounting standards and applicable laws. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily transactions, managing month-end/year-end closings, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws, recurring tax filings, and other government statutory requirements. Requirements BS Accountancy graduate; CPA required At least 7+ years of experience as Accounting Supervisor; preferably in the real estate Strong knowledge of the accounting standards (PFRS), Philippine taxation, tax filings and other statutory compliance. Experience working directly with external auditors on financial audits Knowledgeable in Quickbooks or other accounting software. Advanced experience with MS Office, particularly with MS Excel. Strong analytical, communication and team management skills. Job Responsibilities Oversee the daily financial operations, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely to comply with the company’s monthly closing calendar Supervise the work of the general accounting team, ensures that accounting policies and work instructions are adhered to, and resolves discrepancies and errors with the team and other concerned parties Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information and compliance with accounting standards. Conduct variance analysis to compare the company’s month-on-month performance and provide explanations for the movement. Prepare monthly schedules of accounts ensuring that the general ledger and subsidiary ledger are properly reconciled. Audits and Compliance Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Liaise with the auditors to facilitate year-end financial audit. Ensure on-time regulatory compliances such as BIR, SEC, LGU and others. Process Improvement Assist in the improvement initiatives on internal controls, processes, cost savings and the like, that will contribute to the overall achievement of company’s goals and objective.
