We are seeking a Data Engineer . You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying cutting-edge data solutions while contributing to establishing our data practice in Australia.

Key Accountabilities

  • Technical Engagements: Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for enhancing CI&T's offerings to clients.
  • Project Collaboration: Work on diverse projects, contributing your expertise and learning from others.
  • Design Discussions: Participate in discussions around technical design and architecture to help shape effective solutions.
  • Best Practices: Adhere to security and performance best practices in your work.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain necessary technical documentation for clients and internal use.
  • Effective Communication: Work closely with customer teams to ensure alignment and clarity in technical approaches.
  • Solution Development: Understand client requirements and assist in developing viable technical solutions.
  • Support Team Environment: Foster a stable and productive environment for all team members.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering.
  • Familiarity with Data Warehousing and Data Analytics, including data acquisition and transformation processes.
  • Exposure to modern data file formats such as Parquet and Delta Tables.
  • Basic proficiency in Python, Spark, or DBT; willingness to learn new tools and frameworks.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and best practices for software deployment.

Additional Information

  • Salary Offered: Commensurate with experience
  • Benefits: To be discussed during the interview
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)
  • Shift Schedule: Day Shift (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM); 9 hours a day, 5 days a week
  • Interview Arrangement: All interviews are being held remotely through Google Meet.

Note: Currently, this job is open only for applicants residing in the Philippines.

This position is to be outsourced to our EOR partner in the Philippines and will eventually be employed by our local entity once established.
