Overview Senior Accountant role at Avia Solutions Group . This position is based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig, under a hybrid setup, working in the APAC time zone. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards; ensure timely closing of books, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations; review aging reports, accrual postings, income and expense recognition; maintain compliance with tax, audit, and statutory reporting requirements; prepare other assigned ad-hoc tasks. General Ledger and Reconciliations: Manage accounting processes including accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, fixed assets and payroll accounting; execute the monthly closing process; perform and review balance sheet, bank, intercompany and subsidiary reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies timely. Internal Controls and Process Improvement: Establish and strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to company policies and financial procedures; identify process gaps and drive efficiency improvements. Audit and Compliance Support: Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants and government agencies; assist with audit requirements by coordinating documentation and responding to auditor requests; implement audit recommendations and maintain proper financial documentation. Statutory Reporting: Prepare and file various statutory reports including tax returns. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or a related field. CPA certification is considered an advantage. Skills and Experience At least 3–5 years of proven experience in accounting, financial reporting or general ledger functions. Working with an auditing firm is considered an advantage. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Dynamics. Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of delivering high-accuracy outputs. Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to work independently. Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet critical deadlines. Proactive and solution-driven with demonstrated effectiveness in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.
