Dental Billing Team Leader

Responsibilities Lead and oversee the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Develop and implement effective billing and collection policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with U.S. government and third-party payer regulations. Optimize insurance payer contracts, pricing strategies, and reimbursement rates. Oversee timely claim submissions and manage the aging process to minimize denials. Conduct pre- and post-appointment audits to ensure accurate billing and coding. Handle escalated insurance calls and facilitate claim corrections and refunds. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections and accounts receivable. Train and support billing team members, ensuring adherence to best practices. Collaborate with on-site teams to resolve billing and insurance-related issues. Qualifications 5+ years of dental billing experience, preferably in a management or supervisory role. Proficiency in Dentrix Ascend, Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana. Strong knowledge of PPO, DMO, DHMO, and NYS Managed Care Programs. Understanding of in-network/out-of-network benefits and fee-for-service models. Up-to-date knowledge of ADA billing guidelines and CDT coding. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently, manage remote teams, and coordinate with U.S.-based staff. #J-18808-Ljbffr
