Job Description

The Purchasing Manager is a key role within the Supply Chain and Procurement team, managing procurement and inventory control.

Responsibilities
  • Purchasing & Planning: establish and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers/manufacturers; routine forecasting, placing Purchase Orders, monitor order production, and ensure timely delivery; production priority and container loading priority planning for critical vendors; review pending/open Purchase Order reports and take actions; coordinate payments with Finance Department; take actions on potential stock outs and stocked-out reports where required; assist the Sales team with special order arrangements; manage export account customers' orders and organize production, shipping, and billing; compare and evaluate offers from suppliers and negotiate where required; coordinate product development requests between the business and existing suppliers; current product improvement and correction; manage supplier issues arising from quality deviations; maintain open purchase order due dates; follow the artwork approval process for each order and specification control for each order.
  • Inventory Management: monitor stock levels and process orders as needed; manage supplier change over processes and associated stock levels; request new item system set-up.
  • Supply Chain: assist Senior Procurement Manager with developing and enhancing the supply chain as required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Data analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic production planning capabilities

Desirable Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Oracle Netsuite software experience
  • Netstock software experience
