Credit Analyst Commercial (AU Mortgage, WFH)

Schedule: Monday - Friday (06:00 AM - 03:00 PM PHT)

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit analysis or a similar role within the mortgage or finance industry.
  • Experience using CRM software in the mortgage broking industry (e.g., MyCRM, Infynity, Mercury Nexus, Flex, Salestrekker).
  • Proficient in using financial analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of Commercial Loans.
  • Understanding of income streams and income calculations for PAYG, self-employed, and company/trust structures.
  • Knowledge of lenders' servicing calculators to assess borrowing capacity and ensure loan submissions meet policies and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication to convey credit analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Nice To Have
  • Certificate IV Financing & Mortgage Brokering.
What will you do?
  • Review and analyze the creditworthiness of residential & commercial borrowers and associated assets (e.g., commercial properties, business assets).
  • Assess risk for residential & commercial mortgage loan applications, including borrower financial stability, repayment capacity, and collateral quality/value.
  • Conduct thorough collateral assessments (residential & commercial real estate, equipment, or other assets).
  • Analyze the borrower's business financials (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow) to evaluate ability to generate cash flow for debt service.
  • Evaluate economic and industry-specific factors impacting repayment ability (market trends, competitive dynamics).
  • Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to structure loan terms that align with borrower needs while managing risk.
  • Ensure lending decisions and documentation comply with applicable regulations governing residential & commercial real estate lending.
  • Communicate credit decisions, loan terms, and conditions to borrowers and stakeholders; provide recommendations for improving creditworthiness when needed.
  • Suggest risk mitigation strategies (e.g., personal guarantees, rate adjustments, covenants) to offset credit risk.
  • Stay informed about commercial real estate market conditions, economic trends, and industry developments.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in residential & commercial lending regulations, credit analysis techniques, and best practices.
  • Work closely with Brokers to package deals before lender submissions, ensuring optimal structure aligned with lender policies.
  • Provide guidance on lender policies to ensure compliance and optimal loan structuring.
  • Collaborate with brokers to analyze client finances in depth and prepare tailored loan recommendations.
  • Liaise with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify financial details.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit submissions for a variety of lending scenarios (refinances, purchases, multiple securities, multiple applicants, SMSF, bridging finance).
  • Stay updated on residential industry trends, lending products, and regulatory changes.
