The expected project duration is 2 years, and the assignment is for 19 months. What you do as a Senior Quantity Surveyor The senior quantity surveyor reports to the Engineer’s Representative on site and leads the quantity surveying of the works, supporting the Contractual and Commercial lead in monitoring the program, cost, and contractual aspects of the project. Duties include: Assisting in the implementation of contractual processes as set out in the contract Reviewing incoming correspondence and drafting appropriate contractual replies Identifying project risks, suggesting and implementing agreed avoidance and mitigation plans, and monitoring risks Analyzing current and expected progress of the project in terms of works completion and cost against the program, identifying issues, and providing solutions Maintaining records of works, materials delivered, time spent, etc. Reviewing progress billings and preparing payment certificates; verifying supporting documents through field surveys and site inspector reports Assisting in the assessment of variations and claims, analyzing impact on cost and time Contributing to weekly, monthly, and other project reports Developing and maintaining working relationships with client and contractor Utilizing software to calculate, record, track inventory and estimates Where you will work At Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design, and consultancy services with software and technology. Haskoning is the engineer supervising the dredging and reclamation works undertaken by a contractor under a FIDIC Construct Only contract. You will be part of the BRDP Construction Management and Supervision team led by an international Engineer’s Representative and supported by 14 inspectors, surveyors, and engineers. What you bring As a senior quantity surveyor, you will supervise and work on the environmental aspects of the reclamation project. Required competencies/skills include: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field Approximately 10–20 years of relevant experience Experience as a quantity surveyor in a construction management consultancy is essential Excellent command of English (written and verbal) Strong record-keeping Analytical thinker and problem solver Strong interpersonal and communication skills Team player, versatile, and energetic Adept at working in a digital environment Proficient in Microsoft Office What we offer you At Haskoning, you will collaborate with an engaging and supportive team, enabling you to develop your skills and competencies.
